5 steps to achieve Zen in SEO

Many people know about the necessity and importance of SEO site optimization, but there are also those who have heard about SEO, but do not know what it is and how it works. Let me explain briefly - SEO optimization is the part of your site that is responsible for finding it in search engines. Each of us knows what Google and Yandex are, and today it is difficult to imagine life without these tools that help us find the information we need on the Internet.

In fact, the Internet is a library with millions, and even billions of books, and the book we need, among all these books, is simply impossible to find if there is no librarian. The Google and Yandex services play the role of this librarian, who knows exactly where and what is stored, and most importantly, knows what readers need.

Now imagine that your site is a book, and you store this book in a library for readers to access. But your book is new, and no one has ever heard of it, including the librarian (search engine), and in order for people to start reading your book, you first need to present it to the librarian. Briefly tell him about your book and the title of the book.

Next, the librarian will decide for himself whether your book and its contents will be interesting for readers? This is where we need SEO optimization in order to interest the librarian so that he offers his readers our book, along with other interesting books.

And so let's start: The book is your site. Librarian, this is a Google search engine. Let's say that your book contains everything - texts, page numbering, human-readable language, readable font, but there is no book title and no review of your book.

To interest the librarian we need to come up with a name, since your book contains several chapters. In our case, these are Web pages - Home, about the company, company services, portfolio, contacts. You just need to come up with a title for each page, and it should be unique.
Let's get down to the first step.

Step # 1 - title of pages (Title)

The Meta Title tag is the title of the page that appears in the browser and in search results. In the photo below.

The site name should not exceed 70 characters and it should represent the content of the page in as much detail as possible. Usually, if this is the main page of the site, then first comes the name of the company and the activities of this company, or vice versa, first represent the activities and then the name of the company.

For example, like this: Joomaby - Free website development. Or - Free Websites Development - Joomaby Company.

The title of the next page is the "Services" page. SEO site optimization - Joomaby. Title of the Portfolio page. Our projects are the Joomaby company. Etc.

For each of the pages, it is necessary to write unique names for display in the browser and in search engines. It is important that the title accurately identifies the content of the page.

And so, let's say that our book has acquired the name "Joomaby - Free Websites Development". Now we have something to offer the librarian, but also, he will ask us for a review. A short description of our book.

Step # 2 brief description of the page (Description)

Any sophisticated reader will first read a book review before deciding whether to read this book or not. The meta description tag will act as a review - this is a short description of the page, which will not be displayed anywhere on the page, but only on search results, as in the photo below.

What should the description contain? Just like with the Title meta tag, the description for each page must be unique and not repeated. The maximum number of characters should not exceed 140 characters, including signs and spaces. For example, the description for the main page, for which we have already come up with the name "Joomaby - Free Sites Development": Short description - "Joomaby - Free sites development from more than 30 ready-made site layouts. The best author sites with a unique design. Tel +7 747 312 7205. "

It is important to know that when compiling a short page description and page title, you need to consider how people will look for you in search engines. For example, in the title of the page, I used the words "Development of free sites", and in the brief description, there are the following words "Creation of free sites, site from ready-made layouts, Joomaby". These are search keywords.

When your potential customer enters the phrase "how to create a free site" in Google search, the search engine will show your site in the search results, because, in the page description and in the page title, we used these phrases. It doesn't matter whether it is direct or indirect. The main thing is that these words are present.

Don't be afraid to use synonyms when writing the meta description tag, and avoid frequent repetition of words.

What do we have at the moment to present our book? Page title and short description.
Title: Joomaby - Free Website Development
Description: Joomaby - Free website development from more than 30 ready-made website layouts. The best author sites with a unique design. Tel +7 747 312 7205.

Now our librarian is a little interested in us and he took our book and put it in the shelf. We now need that at the right moment, he could easily find our book and offer it to the reader. What else do we need for this?

Step # 3 keywords (meta-tag keywords)

I must say that now the Google search engine is not so serious about the keywords meta tag, because, in recent years, most SEO optimizers have abused keywords, artificially promoting sites, so it is not so important to fill in this tag, but on the other hand it will not be superfluous , but don't expect great results either.

And so, keywords are the words that people type into Google searches. For example: buy a washing machine, Sberbank ATM addresses, order pizza in Moscow, where to order a free website.
These are all keywords, or the "keywords" meta tag.

When composing keywords, think about how people will search for your site, and enter this data separated by commas, for example: how to create a website for free, free website development, order a website in Moscow.
Right now I have used 3 keywords separated by commas, you can use up to 5 maximum.

As I said above, this meta tag now does not greatly affect the site's performance in search engines, but it still slightly increases the site's position. Therefore, I recommend using this tag.

Step # 4 Page title (H1 tag)

Tags "H", and especially H1 must be on every page of your site, and for each page the number of H1 tags must not exceed one.

The H1 tag is the title of the page. By analogy with a book, we already have a title and a short description of the book, we now need to come up with a chapter of the page before the text. This will be our heading H1.

For example, you have a text on your website about your services, but in order for the reader to know what this reading contains, you must first write a title. In our case, let it be “How to create a free website”. (Don't confuse the H1 heading tag with the Title page title.)

The meta title tag will be displayed only in the browser and in search engines, and the H1 tag directly on the page of your site for the visitor who has already entered your site.
Just like the page title, the title must be unique and not repeated on the same page and on other pages of your site.

Step # 5 Page content

The content of the page is the content of the pages - photos, texts, contact information, a list of services, etc.
If you are still at the beginning of creating your site, then try to keep the materials on your page meaningful, that is, to be informative for the visitor of your site.

For example, if your site is selling tickets, then the page material should contain texts exclusively about your activities. When selling tickets, you cannot write about the sale of the paper on which these tickets are printed. In the text, try to write only about what directly connects your activity.

The texts of the page should be not only informative, but also understandable for readers, so try to write the text for ordinary people, in ordinary words, avoiding any abstruse words and many incomprehensible terms for people.
The devil is in the details

A text that is understandable to people is very good, but do not forget to describe in detail all your services. For example, you have a ticket sales website.
You are selling tickets for the concert of the Spleen group. You write the date of the concert, the cost of the ticket and the duration of the concert. You can also write, the composition of the group, the name of the hits of this group, the history of the creation of the group, where the previous concert was held, how many people attended. The more information there is for people, the better for your site. Search engines pay attention to every little thing, and this little thing can play into your hands, therefore, I advise you to thoroughly prepare for creating a website.

Epilogue

All of the above are the main factors in promoting your site in the search results, and this should be taken very carefully. This is a free way to promote your site, and it will take time, a lot of time, and does not guarantee that you will skyrocket in Google search positions. Even after completing all the above tasks, it is necessary to constantly maintain your site - add more and more information, constantly update content, write interesting articles, introduce a blog, introduce active publications on social networks and link them to the site.
It takes a lot of time, and if you do not have this time, then we will help you to raise your site in search engines.
