structure and convenience

Most developers disregard the rules of competent site construction and make a site based solely on the customer's requirements, which is fundamentally wrong.

The developer must, must listen to the client, his wishes regarding the future site, and build the site in such a way that it is well-structured.

You should always follow the generally accepted rules of Internet marketing: comply with the requirements of search engines and avoid boilerplate methods of building a website.

The client is not always right

It often happens that a client sees a site on the Internet and he likes the design of the site, which is similar in the subject of his business. He sets the task for the developer - to create a site similar in design.

Of course, the developer must take into account the opinion of the customer and his tastes, but he must build the site based on the wishes of the consumers, not the customer. Because the customer may not be a specialist in the field of Internet marketing. And the developer, in turn, must take into account the opinion of the Internet marketer, and on its basis build the structure of the site, adhering to the taste of the customer in terms of design.

Satisfying user needs

The website should not be created for the customer, but for his customers, so it is important to consider the needs of users.

1. What will they be looking for?
2. How will they search?
3. What will they do after they find the information they need?
4. What is important to them?

Building the structure of the site: predicting user actions and provoking them to action.

Let's say a customer is looking for a specific service or product on a website. What should be the structure of the site?

1. Site title, indicating that the user got to the site he needed.
2. Site navigation so that the user can quickly go to the desired site category.
3. Site search: if the user did not find the information he needed in the site navigation.
4. Contact information in a prominent place: if the user is inconvenient to read all the information and it is more convenient for him to get advice by phone.

The above list is only the upper part of the site (site header). Below the site header, you must specify exactly the information that should interest the user.

It is very important to provide information in such a way that it is as simple as possible, but targeted. As understandable as possible: no terminology, so that every user can understand it, short, but not losing its meaning.

Also, do not forget about the sequence of information on the site. The information should be consistent as to its importance: product / product price / product advantages over similar products / product specifications / product discounts.

Next, there should be a call to action: buy, order, order a call, and always alternative products, in case the user did not find what he was looking for.

The user should always have a choice, therefore, it is necessary to build the site in such a way that the client does not leave it until he finds what he needs.

Imagine yourself as a car salesman: a client has come to you for a consultation, and you show him a chic open-top sports car.

You tell him that this is a German car (which is already a quality mark). It has over 300 horsepower, a twin turbine, summer and winter driving modes, adjustable suspension and so on. At the end, you voice the price, and you see from his facial expressions that he cannot afford it.

What do you do next? You will propose alternative solutions to keep and engage the customer until they make a purchase.
You will say that this car has a great discount, a profitable bank loan, no down payment, free maintenance for a year, a guarantee for a mileage of up to 50 thousand kilometers.

You will offer different alternatives until you get your client. And even with all this, the client can say what he needs to think about. You, realizing that the client is not solvent, will offer other cars, more budgetary, until you make a sale.

Also with the structure of the site: the site should always have an alternative option for the client. Therefore, site materials must be compiled based on the wishes of customers, and in tandem with an Internet marketer.

Only in this case your site can become competitive and attractive for your users.
